THE TARGET

(t 110)  The target for valid touches is the same as the target for electric fencing as established by the rules of the Federation Internationale d'Escrime and USA Fencing, with the following exceptions:

(t 110.a)  In foil the target does not include any part of the bib of the mask.  Although fencers may use an electric foil mask, hits arriving on the lame portion of the mask will be not valid.

(t 110.b)  In sabre, the target on the gloved hand is the cuff of the glove behind the seam joining the cuff to the hand portion of the glove.  The target on the non-weapon arm extends to the crease of the hand where the hand joins the arm.
