Fence Dry! Rules - Competition Points

ANNUAL POINT CHAMPIONSHIPS

(a 300)  Fence Dry conducts an Annual Point Championships based on individual performance against other Fence Dry member fencers.  Members earn 1 point for each Fence Dry registered competition entered, and 1 point for each place above last.  For example, a fencer who enters a 9 fencer competition and finishes second receives 8 points.

(a 301)  At the end of the fencing year (31 July), these competition points are totaled and added to the fencer's classification and ranking to produce an annual competition point total using the following formula:

Annual point total = (Competition points x 10) + current ranking + (current classification x 100)

(a 302)  Annual Point Champions are identified for each weapon, and for other categories, determined based on the number of participants.  To be eligible, fencers must compete in at least two Fence Dry registered competitions during the year.  The following table is used to determine the number of individuals declared Annual Points Champions in any given year.
